I have checked resistance between the pins on the resistor and the Ohm reading changes between pins, so i think i can assume the resister is good? Recently I purchased a 12v device for my Hyundai i30. The 12v male power connector does not remain in the female socket. (This is the "cigarette lighter" type connector). When I insert the male power connector into the female socket it simply pops straight out again. This does not happen with any of the other 12v power connectors that I have.
